After a breakfast of cereal and fruit salad, we visited the underground cities also known as fairy chimneys because of their shape. This is where the Christians originally lived and had their churches,  monastery and nunnery. They are all carved out of  the rocks.  There are paintings of Jesus with a halo, the virgin Mary and many of the religious stories. Through the centuries they improved and the colours got richer. There was a young guy standing outside one of the churches offering a taxi service on his donkey for one dollar, which we had a good laugh about.

We then started our hike through the valley. It was hot but we all really enjoyed it. We picked apricots and white mulberries along the way and took more photos.

Then it was back to the hotel for lunch and a snooze. Then off to the underground cities. These are like caves, manmade, where the people lived. They are across six floors and have many interleading tunnels, so that in times of war there was always an escape route. Dori said you could play hide and go seek and not find each other for six weeks. It was quite amazing.

Then we stopped to price jewellery and rushed back to the hotel to shower and change so we could go to a Turkish evening. They had loads of food and drinks, the lamb for the main course was superb. We watched the dancers and then had to join in. This was fun. The belly dancer was absolutely brilliant, she wore green outfit, it was stunning. We had a good laugh at the men trying to dance with her. It then turned into a disco, but they played such old music. Keith and Dale were dancing around all stupidly so Dori simply disowned us. We left just before midnight
