We also went to a pottery factory, where we were given a demonstration as to how pottery was made. Keith got to try and he  looked like he was having great fun. His bowl he was making turned into an ashtray in the end, but we all had a good laugh. Aunty Kay won a bowl, for guessing what was being made, but we had to sing for it first. They are all good at pressure selling, but we were saving our money for leather and jewels.

Then we went to a carpet weaving factory, and can now appreciate all of the hard work that goes into making carpets. The women average 5cm a day. It costs aboutt 350 pounds  for a medium one was a bit out of our budget, oh well one day.

The drive from Cappadocia to Pamukkale is eleven hours so next time we will rather fly as sitting in the car  is not fun at all. There was one stop on route at the Mausoleum of Mevlana in Konya.  It is an extremely religious city. They have really preserved the Koran's and carpets from as far back as the 13 century. This is where the dervishes originate from, they are the dancing Turkish men that spin around in circles bestowing blessings on the people, it's a pretty popular theme used on adverts for Turkey. We all then played cards for the rest of the afternoon. We had a swim at the hotel and dinner and then went to bed.
