Denizli - Kusadasi

We went to the hot springs of Pamukkale, and walked on the calcified rocks, but they were a bit hard on the feet.  We didn't swim in the hot springs as we were too hot already and it was still early in the morning.

We also saw an ancient Roman city of Aphrodisias.  It's slowly but surely falling down, and a lot collapsed in the recent earthquakes, but the restoration is excellent and really well preserved despite the earthquakes.

This stadium is so huge and it was incredible to stand at the bottom and look up into the seats. It seated 30 000 people and must have been quite something in Roman times

On our way to the hotel our minbus's fan belt snapped so we were stranded. But not for long, the local people came to the rescue and a driver offered to take us the 75km to our hotel in Kusadasi for next to nothing. Our driver stayed with the minibus until it was repaired and he arrived at the hotel at ten that evening.
